Be aware that avian influenza remains a serious threat to the poultry industry and biosecurity measures will be in place. After going most of the summer with very few avian influenza cases across the U.S., there have been 27 confirmed cases in the last 30 days. Most of the affected flocks have been commercial turkey flocks in the Dakotas and Minnesota. However, one 3 million head commercial table egg flock has been affected in Wisconsin. Take biosecurity seriously, as it is our most effective weapon against avian influenza.
This year’s list of topics and speakers include:
TAEP and Extension Updates – Tom Tabler
Litter Management – Dr. Craig Coufal
Free Wildlife Biosecurity Assessments – Blaine Hyle
Egg Quality – Dusty Cagle, Martin, TN, Daren Rakestraw, Cleveland, TN
Please see the flyer below for additional information related to locations, meeting topics and speakers and plan to join us in Martin or Cleveland the 2025 Tennessee Poultry Association Grower Meetings.
