Welcoming Jie Wu to the Precision Poultry Management Research Group

We are pleased to announce that Jie Wu has joined the Precision Poultry Management Research Group as a Ph.D. student in the Fall 2024 semester. His research will contribute to advancing precision technologies in poultry science, further strengthening our group’s commitment to innovation and excellence in precision livestock farming.

Jie is originally from China and holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Software Engineering from Northwestern A & F University, China. His research interests include precision livestock and poultry farming, computer vision, and the application of artificial intelligence, which align closely with the group’s objectives.

We also extend our congratulations to Jie for receiving the Herbert College of Agriculture Fellowship for Graduate Excellence from the University of Tennessee. This highly competitive fellowship is awarded to exceptional incoming Ph.D. students, recognizing Jie’s academic achievements and research potential.

We look forward to his contributions and are confident that his expertise will enhance the advancement of precision poultry management.
